BMW UK Plates
Hey guys,
worried that the plates my dealer puts on are going to be really basic. I usually get 3D text, with a black boarder and a GB euro badge. But i'd also like the BMW m-tech plate holder. anyone know if you can pay extra for them to make the plates up properly? cheers |

Hey guys
The plates my dealer (Sytner Newport) put on were of good quality but basic so as I have done in the past I had a pair made up locally - 3D lettering (which is legal in UK as per DVLA website) with black border; cost £16 for the pair plus £2 for the very sticky pads to attach them to the car (I think the plates look neater than using screws/bolts). Didn't think to ask the dealer if they could provide such plates but will do next time. I am not aware of the m-tech plate holder but I did try a black plastic holder from a VW Golf but decided the plates looked better fixed direct to the car. |

3Detters are perfectly legal. These are the holders I'm talking about:
