Mmmmmm circuit board casserole

I did try that and I also read put the board in the freezer as well which I tried with no success. I sent my board in to a TV repair service which replaced one of the chips on the board that had gone bad. All in for $135, not bad to save a $1,500 TV.

Thats fine. Everything elese you will buy still has samsung parts so there you go. Plus americans jest made a big deal about samsung. Becausse apple product fell and also they have to pay billions of dollors in taxes to europe. I would never own apple in my life, there the worst crap i bought in my life. Not surprising. Actually... If you research, VIZIO has one of the better rated Customer Service ratings! And I can attest to this:

I bought an 80" in December 2014. 11 months later (nearly a year to the day!) I had about 6 or 7 dead pixels. It's such a giant TV it really wasn't noticeable by anyone but me. However, I called VIZIO, explained my situation. They asked me to take "2 pics": One of the dead pixels and one of the TV as a whole showing the same image so they could verify it's the same TV.
I emailed the pics to them and within 2 weeks, I had a brand new 80" VIZIO delivered and setup in my Entertainment Room! As of today, the PQ is outstanding no matter what I throw at it: Live Sports, BluRay movies, PS4 Gaming. Needless to say, I am VERY pleased with the product and the excellent service. I would definitely recommend and purchase again.

Vizio is a disposable brand. I have had a 65" for almost two years and it's been fine. Boxing Day sale for $950 CAD. If it blows up, buy another one.

I had samsungs prior to this, all of them had problems. Decided I would never buy expensive again, just cheap and big. Then buy another one when it craps out.

My last Panasonic tv was over 30 years old, eff Samsung and their cheap ass electronics, they deserve all the shit they're getting now.
I agree, Samsung tv's are crap. Had two go out on me in the last year...neither lasted 3 years. Will never buy again.

My friend had a POS off-brand TV (Sceptre) that he'd rather repair than to get a new one, and the repairman had nothing positive to say about Vizio; he's had plenty of Vizio TVs that go bad very soon.

I never liked Samsung since they're one of those companies that likes to flaunt all the newest features but aren't built to last... I know plenty of people that have to jury-rig their Samsung TV to get it to work, Samsung computers almost always fizzle out after a certain amount of time, and most Galaxies run insanely sluggish and have some vital component (home button or camera) break, so I don't even trust anything from their camp.

Personally, if I wanted a TV, I'd get a Bravia or even an Aquos.

Actually, they're made in TJ now... I've unpacked dozens of Samsung TVs and monitors and most of them go oddly specific and claim they're made in Tijuana, Mexico.

This. Sony knows what they are doing. Dat panel quality. TVs are still one of those products that you get what you pay for.

I have a 50" Samsung Plasma for the living room that I picked up during Black Friday something like 10 years ago and it's still running strong. Have a 42" Panasonic plasma for the bedroom and it's great after about 3-4 years now. I mostly watch sports and movies so plasmas are great for me.

Been wanting to pick up a new, 65" LED for the living room but everything is running fine so there's no need to upgrade. Waiting for OLED to drop and then i will bite. Also prefer 240hz refresh rate. No complaints from me regarding Samsung like you guys have experienced.

Have a similar setup--50" Panasonic plasma in living room, 7 years old and a 12 year old 42" Panasonic Plasma in the bedroom.

Luck of the draw.

I also have a 60" LG Plasma that I've owned for 4yrs. The PQ is still second to none! And it performs flawlessly. I have heard and read of numerous Sony TV shows crapping out do don't believe the hype.

Snagged it on Black Friday from Sams Club. It was the best $2k I have EVER spent. And I would happily purchase from them again. My setup including Receiver (Yamaha) and speakers, are the reason why I rarely go to the movies.

My Samsung LED's been working fine for 6 yrs (knock wood). Ya, what's a Vizio? Not really an established brand.

Sony is the best? The panel is either made by Samsung or LG in that Sony.

Oh, my Sony CRT TV lasted from 1988 to 2007. Talk about a crappy TV that thing weighed two tons and only lasted 19 years. It gave no warning it just would not turn on one day.
I got a Samsung rear projection DLP TV to replace it, it lasted four years before it finally overheated for the last time.
I now have a 65" Vizio that the wife brought home two black fridays ago. It is a cheaper unit and the last firmware update appears to have fixed most issues. It will have a hickup or two with locking up, but nothing that unplugging the power cord counting to ten and powering back on does not fix. If it last five years I will call it good, gone are the days of 20 year TVs. I stopped buying Sony TVs when CRTs went out of style, their panel TVs are just not the same quality of the older CRTs.

Steve
