Any AR10 fans out there? I am thinking about one. I dont need all that crap on the forearm or side mounted scopes or red dots or lasers...I am into quality and accuracy. I have a Rock River Varmint in 223 and LOVE it. Just thinking a 308 would be fun. What say you?

If you're into quality and accuracy, pick up a KAC SR-25.

No , but i dont want to pay the same amount as a new mustang costs for a gun either. I'd stick to a Springfield M1A for accuracy in that case.

Maybe not, but Mustangs and SR-25s are equally efficient killing machines.

I get where you're coming from and agree. But M1A isn't AR-10.

I kind of wish i would have gone with SCAR17 vs the 16, but for me, .308 is a bit much, i've got no real use for it.

In my opinion, there is something to be said for not having too many caliber bullets to store. Unless it's for a specific purpose.

I only keep a few hundred rounds of .300blk and maybe only 75 rounds of 12ga on hand because those are for hunting rather than target shooting. Only reason I have that many is because of getting them at a good price.

True. I keep a couple hundred for the collector guns and a couple thousand for the ones I might grab. They also have about 10 mags each filled and ready to go. The AR, AK, and the pistols.

Did you purposely buy 2k rounds for every caliber, or did they sort of accumulate over a few purchases?

Right now I have about 500 rounds for every caliber firearm I own. I want to be able to grab some out for a range that day and still have some left at home. However I usually buy couple hundred here and there when I spot deals, so I imagine I'll creep up into thousand range eventually. If I go beyond that I may need a second safe just for ammo.

The week after the Sandy hook shooting, i bought a crap ton of ammo. Like enough to bring the totals to 5k for each caliber, except for 12ga, .300blk and .22lr. I don't hunt often, so the few hundred rounds of .300blk and 12ga was fine. At the time, .22lr was $.035/round, so i bought 10k of it that same week.

Since that initial investment in a stock pile, i just top off what i use (cycling through it) or buy a case here and there when there is a good deal.

Bought bulk for the main guns. Rest is a box here, there, etc.

Over the past 8 years, i have accumulated about 4K rounds per caliper. 9mm 762x39, 556, 308/762, 764x54r, 12G. Several spam can of 762 buried on neighbors property. So now, every time i go to the range, i order what i spent
