And I'm guessing my '13 isn't supported and they aren't updating the old "connected" app.

As far as geography is concerned, Canada is in North America and yet the app is not available to be used here. Pure bullshit on BMW's part - there is no reason Canada should be a different operation with different apps, etc. and no support.

It doesn't even work in North America. Proper title should be BMW Connected North America unless you live in Canada or Mexico.

And, of course, for those of us who use an iPod tethered to our Android phone to get around BMW's nonsensical hatred for everything non-Apple, the iOS app won't work on iPods.

Clearly the long term plan is to stop supplying Canada with BMW's.......this is just stage 1.

The Android one already received an update for "minor bug fixes". Maybe BMW will actually be keeping the app updated and working this time!

Having a us spec car outside of the us will not work with connected apps. Having lived in Germany with my us spec m4, I had to wait for the my return to the states before it would activate. It's not something that can be turned on either while overseas as it has to do with your account and SIM card. Overseas sales most of the time fail to mention this detail upfront. Sucks.

So lame, it's not like there is an actual content license issue.

Some days I want to leave everything to go work at BMW and fix all of their easy software, cybersecurity and electronics integration issues ... just so I can fully enjoy my vehicles.

Would be a huge pay cut but would be satisfying!!

I tried everything in there. I am only able to see the old UI, not the new one. Attaching my image.
Also I am on the latest iOS 10.0.2 on iPhone 7 plus. App is also updated to the latest version.
All my services are up and running. :

Have heard that right now iPhone 7 is no bueno for new iDrive.
That is probably the problem.
