Auto Stop/Start Question.

I have a three month old 116d EfficientDynamics Business (manual transmission) & since it was delivered the warning light for the auto stop/start system comes on every time the car comes to a halt. I also get the display to put the car into neutral at the same time, which does cause the engine to stop. So the car can do the auto stop/start cycle even though the warning light tells me it cannot do so.
Has anyone else had a similar issue?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

if you shift in neutral and release the clutch the engine should stop.... ift the engine does not stop then.. let the dealership care about this...

Yes, if I put the car into neutral the engine does stop. But I still get an auto start/stop unavailable warning until I do so. The photo below shows what I mean, the car is asking to be put into neutral but also shows start/stop as unavailable even though the engine shuts off, & starts up again, like it should. I am wondering if this is the case for all manual F20s.

It sounds like it works correctly but I've never seen that gear stick icon on mine. And what is that gauge in the lower right?

If you press the button for the on-board computer it cycles through the displays. This one is the Eco Pro bonus range & the gauge at the right shows energy recuperation etc.

haha thats a little funny. could be a software bug - everything sound ok. I would not worry - ask your dealer next time you go
