Likes & Dislikes M135i

What do you particularly like or dislike about your M135i?

I'll start the ball rolling

Like:
Engine...low down torque and power to 7K make this engine more fun that my Z4M
Auto transmission....never thought I'd see the day but I just love the way this thing shifts and hooks up immediately
Sports+ handling.....love the way the chassis stays neutral through hard cornering
Adaptable headlights.....the way these things let you drive on a quiet, curving country road after dark is truly amazing

Dislike

Eco-Pro....makes the car feel broken
Auto-stop....I simply hate stalling every time I stop
Auto-high beam.....senses oncoming cars too slowly

Fortunately these can all be disabled with the touch of a button.

I don't own an M135i, but I would like to chime in with some more general F20/F21 features. I really like the brakes, particularly when braking hard into corners. I like the sport seats and driving position.

I dislike the feel and function of the turn indicator stalk, the start button, and I would prefer more steering feel. It feels a little bit vague.

Engine
Manual Box
Grip (In Summer)
Noise (from outside)
Peoples surprise when you gun it in 1st,2nd,3rd.

Dislike:

Grip (In Winter, hard to use even 1/2 the power in this weather)
Noise (Inside, Too quiet inside unless you're really spanking it)
Wish it would stay in Sport+ instead of having to select it every time I start the car.

Engine
Actually Quiet on Highways
Suspension: soft enough to carry kids
ECO features
Grip
Powerful enough to catch sleepy drivers in much better cars XD

Dislike

NO OIL DIP STICK!
Steering kinda vague, but maybe just me.
Suspension: can be firmer in our mountains (probably asking too much)
No LSD (becoming more of an issue spending more time as tourist/road sweeping group in local rallies and track days.)
Snappy oversteer
Sound. (Compare to a E30 with mod. exhaust. If it were fake, might as well let us turn up the volume.)

Auto-stop....I simply hate stalling every time I stop
I loved 95% of the car but hated the Stop / Start function
I got mine reprogrammed so that whatever you have it set to it stays there.
I have not put it back to the factory default since then.

How do you reprogram it?

Ditto
Plus maybe a slightly wider front tyre.

The M-Performance diff for the M235i and 435i will be launched early 2014. Should be plug&play to the M135i as well I guess.

Can't you just turn off the stop/start? You could on my 320d MSport. (ps, get my M135i mid March, so can't go and check).

Yes, you can...just touch the outer part of the start button immediately after you've started the engine. If this inconvenience rates as a major dislike, then clearly I have a high threshold to inconvenience. I'm even ok with pressing the key fob to unlock the doors....!
