The funny thing is, that 'the boy' probably thinks his co-workers respect him because he has a new car every year (and a nice one, at that). Not really. The majority think he is an idiot.

I spent 26 years US Marine Corps, half of that as an enlisted Marine, and I know how the average enlisted Marine thinks, which is pretty comparable to how a longshoreman thinks (you know, work hard, play hard, hate their officers/bosses). Some of my fellow officers, when I was on the officer side, thought the enlisted Marines respected them because they were able to show off how much money they made as an officer by fancy cars, nice clothes, jewelry, etc... Nope. They thought the big spenders were idiots. Kind of like this guy. And his 'friend', who is most likely just the OP.

Respect that u were in the Marine Corps. I work for homeland security (US Customs) and I know exactly what u talking about. Whether is me or him, we are not trying to impress nobody or looking for respect because of that, whether is at work or not people could think whatever.

i'm all for spending a bunch on cars, but why in the world would you ever have that lineup? they are all practically the same car? he should have an m4/ m5 OR m6, some sort of SUV and spend the rest on classic investment cars, or at least get different brands/ companies etc. to pay interest/ insurance etc. on 7 of essentially the same car makes me scratch my head
