'Ditto' for the 125i M Sport on 18's Mine does find the suspension stops when pushed hard through a high speed deep dip. Suspension still handles very well during this process. I have Run flats on, so it may be different with the Michelin PSS non run flats as they are not as ridgid in the side walls. Hopefully I can test that out in a few weeks time when I fit Michelin PSS non run flats on mine. |

Maybe but I have uprated springs and ARBs. No issues. Sounds like you might want to tweak the chassis of your 116i if bottoming out is an issue for you.

If I wanted to tune the car, I would also add some negative camber up front, but I think I will keep it completely stock, as it came from the factory. |

Bilstein B8 dampers work well with stock springs.
F8x M3/4 lower control arms is an OE part swap upgrade that adds about -1 deg camber each side at the front. Here's a shot of them installed on my car - its the new, shiny part !!!

I know. I could also upper strut mounts from the M135i to get a bit more negative camber on the 116i. I have very good experience with Bilstein shocks from previous cars. There has however been quite a lot of quality issues with their products over the last few years.

hub carriers on m135i are fitted -0.5 deg swivel bearings as standard, don't think upper mounts will add more camber. Mx35i stock camber is circa 0.5 deg, from above swivel bearing

Update
Front - M4 tension struts now installed to match M4 LCAs already installed. Puts wheel back more centrally into the wheel arch Rear - now using style 397 8.5" et 47mm with oem MPSS 245-35-18 tyres. Happy with both upgrades as may move to wider rear tyres when time to change worn rears..
