I didn't see support. I saw people saying do what you want. One even said No engine= no badge. Not suporting at all. The members didn't care because it wasn't their car. They can't stop him

If it's not an AMG model, it shouldn't be wearing the badge. I don't care if it has the bumpers, the paddles, the seats, what have you, it won't have the engine or the suspension tuning, and it simply won't be an AMG car. The badge is for posers.

some AMG body kits packages come with the AMG badge ...

if his model, for whatever reason, didnt come with one that should have
then thats the exception

I know, I've seen em. I don't like it. We don't see BMW handing out //M badges with every M-Sport equipped BMW.

Actually on the new 1 series (as I recalled a past test-drive with the 135i), if it has the Sport Package, the steering wheel had the ///M logo, as with the door sill plate...

Yeah, and I don't like it either but that's not the same thing. That's just a steering wheel. That's not a badge that misinforms people to believe that it's of the //M lineup.

I have a friend who bought an E500 and got the AMG supercharger added...so now his benz has an AMG badge......but I don't think the OP in that thread has that....

most on there say your car, do what you want, but they disagree for the badge

Ok... Problem is the E55 AMG is actually a 5.4L not a 5.0L. Tell him to take the badge off and pony up for the real thing. The AMG padge is for the whole package. Suspension/Seats/Brakes/Engine/Kit. Not just the supercharger.

Its kind alike putting a M sticker on your car and it not being either a M3, M5, or M6....
