Thanks for interesting high quality pictures. It's difficult to make such good shots from all those hidden spots.
Third last picture: What is this cable/contact for? Computer connection for service purposes?

great photos .... I really like the way that you've gone for some really interesting shots. Haven't seen anyone do that on this forum (just because I didn't see it, doesn't mean they're not there!)
Well done and congratulations |

re OBD
I just watched a uTube video of a 1M being stolen in under 3 minutes! They cut out the glass near the front, reached into the footwell and connected some electronic gizmo to the ODB. This re-coded a key fob, which they then used to enter the vehicle and drive off. That was obviously a pro job....that electronic gizmo wouldn't be cheap....but anyway, what it highlights is what I'd consider to be quite a serious security flaw.\ Sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack this thread with a rant ... ops :-) |

But seriously.. stealing a car in 3 minutes? That is not really fast. That it made news is somewhat weird.. cars get stolen faster every day in every city on this planet. Normal E8x too, and the 1M is nothing else.

Your close up on the headlights shows the beauty of the shape as well as the graphics inside them.
From now on it's official: The headlights are not ugly!

Holidays!! Europe, here we go!
If any of you guys in France, Germany, Belgium, and UK (mostly around the London area) happen to run into a Spanish plate silver grey F20 like mine in the next few weeks, do wave and say hi! See you all back in Sept...! |

Back from a 5000 km ride around Europe.
No problems whatsoever. 6,6 lt/100 average consumption. Looking forward to next one! I spotted less than 10 F20s all along the journey... Last edited by Brenyaman; 08-24-2012 at 07:55 AM.. |
