yeah notice the sign on the property. It says Stop Private Property, because of people like you wanting to check out a property where a movie was made.

My Son was in Boy Scouts and there is the Scout camp in NJ where Friday the 13th was filmed. At the time it was maybe a good idea, but today all the horror movie fans want to check it out. It is kind of interesting when the Scouts find out that is where Jason live in Friday the 13th.

Yeah, I filmed from the street. I saw a video on youtube of someone filming on the side and in the back. I just did a drive past.

Uncle Buck was a great movie. Enjoyed it when I was a teenager, and now enjoy it with my own kids. I have the DVD .. but I also struggle to turn it off, if I happen to flick through the channels and find it.

A genuine "feel good" movie.

Also a fantastic sound track. The Tone Loc riff of "Wild Thing" that accompanies many scenes is aptly suited to Buck's character. Also, the Young MC track when Buck gets to the party ... fookin awesome choice. I have both of these in my car on USB.

So many good movies from the 80's. Partly tied to my own formative years, but I also think the decade stands out as strong from a cinematic and American culture perspective. Growing up (and still living in) the UK, it is movies like these that made me wish I lived in the US.

Just watched Beverly Hills Cop and BHC II again recently. Again, great movies.

I saw the Pacific Heights house in SF years ago, on a bus tour. I also remember seeing the bridge where the lorry crashes through in Los Angeles, in Terminator 2. Simple things, but quite interesting to see first hand.

Thanks for sharing your shots of the houses.

Well said. I agree. I really enjoy John Hughes movies and most of them are filmed in Chicago in the 80's. John Candy is also a great actor.
