Hardwire for radar detector or sat NAV?
Anyone hardwired to the dash for such a thing? Looking for some ideas of where to tap into and/or how some of the trims come off.
Getting to the back of the cigarette lighter in front of the gear lever my current favourite but no idea how it comes apart.

The front supply will be no good, it is for some reason always live. I had to have my gps speed camera detector powered from the fuse box in the boot and have a cable run the length of the car.
It works perfectly, power comes on only with ignition.

Running from the boot least favourite, might have a look at the whats switched in the rear view mirror and sunroof panel and mount at top of screen instead of dash. |

tbh, I had someone do it for me so not sure how hard it was to do. A retired local car stereo guy did it for £35 all in!

Could you not have taken a feed from the switched side of the ignition, rather that run it the whole length of the car?
