Never let your dealer polish your car
Collected my car Friday night after being re-repaired after the accident but it was dark so couldn't check it over as much as I'd like to. Have been working solid for the last 30 hours so not had chance to even look at the car let alone check it until now. The entire car is covered by holographs and scratches, needless to say I am not impressed! Luckily I am off tomorrow (suppose to be Christmas shopping), guess where I'm going to be spending my morning kicking up a fuss |

Maybe you're lucky and most of it is just the "wax" not properly buffed out, but that B-pillar trim doesn't bode well..
Good luck with getting it sorted, as a lot of people just think this is normal and if the paint looks shiny, it's fine.

First I thought your car was "greased" foe winter.
The photos are however terrible; it looks like a housewife had a go at your car with a scouring pad. The washing sponge for teflon does not leave marks, a common sponge for steel pots does exactly what you see. Maybe somebody was in a hurry to clean, or tried to economize buying common steal pots sponges or they just hired a cleaning lady to wash cars. |

My employer's son and some friends washed cars for a day as part of a charity project. The first car they washed was their own teacher's. On a tough-to-get-clean part of the car, they actually used a scrub like that, and they weren't satisfied until the car had big spot of shiny steel. Needless to say, this was also the last car they washed...

I think the door trim was caused by a dirty sponge but the panels have exactly the kind of damage that is caused by someone using a DA when they don't know how to.
Going to cause hell tomorrow I tell ya!! |

@ will-w
you'll have more success if being calm I think it would be a good idea to show them this photos first; then the actual car after, ask with a big smile, which car belongs to their director or owner; then pull out of a bag some scrubbing pads and say smiling, you'll return the service by cleaning his car. When THEY begin yelling, replay, they can call the police and you'll post them on internet and youtube. I can assure you, the treatment will make them softer |

It appears that they have not properly washed the car then polished it whilst it still had dirt and grime on it.
It is very obvious that this was done by someone without any knowledge of cleaning or polishing. Go get them |

I would be locked up for assault pretty quickly if this happened to me.
Had my car "washed" by a homeless person using a dirty rag about a month ago and proudly presented to me as I got back to it. The resultant fine swirls weren't even 1/10 as bad as this, but I was already livid. This would have me seriously harm someone. Give 'em hell!! |

I had no option really, they did the damage attempting to polish the car with an orbital buffer after doing some bodywork

Update from today; the dealer has offered to pay £200 as a 'goodwill gesture' towards the £500 cost to rectify...
Well it's something I suppose! |
