Rear bumper question
Hi everyone,
I currently drive a 118i and i am very pelased with it. Except one thing... The tailpipe... Why BMW only gives 1 tailpipe on a 170hp car while mercedes and audi already gives 2 on a weaker car is beyond me. Anyway, as you may know, if i want to change the end piece to a double one for example, i will need to buy a different diffuser (the black plastic thing where the tailpipe comes through as seen in the picture) seeing they have different models depening on the placement of it. Does anyone know what the cost of this is? |

engine. Mercedes and Audi are adding an extra pipe because they are making poser cars, sheep in wolf's clothing. I appreciate that BMW is not caving and doing the same. I think a single pipe makes sense on four cylinder cars, and two pipes on six cylinder cars. |

Bumper must be trimmed or replaced with 125i/125d model diffuser for double left side endpipe. Replace cost about 100 € (only the grey part) in official dealer as they told me.
If you prefer left-right side exits you must replace with 135i diffuser, but exhaust kit must be more expensive. Cut it is the cheapest option Last edited by Lucas S.; 08-25-2013 at 03:52 PM.. |
