Service costs in Scotland
Hi guys
I am just about to put my 116i sport in for its first service, does anyone have any rough costs for this first service? Cheers |

All the info will be up on a board in the service department, franchises generally have thier own pricing structure so estimating won't be much help.
You're not running an M car though so it won't be crippling.

My second service is due on my 116i. Just checked with Trainers in Swansea and they wanted £348 inc plus and extra £60 if the brake fluid needed replacing. Is this a good price?

Jesus! What are they filling the brake lines with? Bollinger!
Looks like that service pack was good value after all.

Servicing is not a function of the warranty, unfortunately.
Getting the servicing pack is worth it if you do the miles, I'll find out next Jul how much my local dealer will charge me as the car will be 2 years old and due the first service. 9k miles to go to service so that won't be up by then.

My 116d first service was oil change and microfilter at £258 inc vat from Williams Bolton
That's not bad given its a 2-year / 21k miles service |

Did anyone buy the 5 year service pack? My car was 6 months old with delivery miles and came with one, seemed a good deal, just wondering on the uptake.

When I went to change my car the monthly figures and deposit had already accounted for the service pack so I got it. Just on the F10 that is..

For anyone interested mine was £191 at Harry Fairbairns in Glasgow, Oil change, Microfilter and a few bits and bobs done.
Had a strange recall outstanding on it, something about additional corrosion protection in the boot, haven't really looked at what it was. |

It's the hole where the battery cable goes through the boot floor. Early models didn't have a rubber grommet thus a rust hotspot - fix is to smear in rustproof compound.
Nice to see they have our backs covered.

I always thought that BMW service plans were standard on all new BMWs. I guess it's only certain countries then.
