Front armrest rattle

All

Was wondering if you could let me know if your front arm rest rattles? Mines awful on my new M135. I can tap it while stationary and the damn thing rattles. You can imagine what it's like when driving around!

Took it into the dealer yesterday and we tested one of their demonstrators and it did exactly the same thing. They said they'd take it in to investigate but I was told more less that's that's how they are. Surely this can't be true?

Also I was told that if I want a courtesy car when I take it in I've got to pay £15 to insure it for the day. Audi never used to charge me when cars were in for warranty work. Is that something you guys normally push back on?

Other than the minor issue, loving the car. Just wish it'd stop raining long enough to be able to give a proper detail!!!

The armrest on my 116i is fine. Silly question but is it standard or have you got the snap in adapter fitted?

In terms of being asked to pay for insurance it's becoming fairly standard these days. The first time I had to it was £10 to be added to the policy and more recently it changed to a per day fee.

The VW dealership I used to use did offer the chance to put their car on my insurance which my insurer did for no fee as both cars wouldn't be in use at the same time by me. One time I did that and when I got to the dealership they apologised as the planned car was not back and they had to give me a different one for which they didn't then charge for the insurance. Similarly when mine went back for more work a few weeks later (job not properly done) insurance costs were met by the garage.

No issues with mine. Whole interior is quiet as a mouse. No snap-in though.

No issue with my centre console but there is an annoying rattle in my passenger door storage bin that I am going to ask my dealer to take a look at

No. No snap in as waiting for the iPhone 5 one to come out.

Good to hear other 1 series have no issue. Definitely not going to buy the excuse that they're all like that!

Will call my insurance company re their car.
