Resetting run-flat indicator

Does anyone know the correct method of resetting the run-flat indicator after tire re-inflation? The iDrive display instructs that the vehicle needs to be stationary, with ignition/engine on. But several other sources state that the vehicle needs to be driven a short distance right after initialization.

So which one is it?

I drive until I get a tire warning, then stop along the road with engine running, and reset the tire supervision.

It needs to be stationary to perform the reset, but then it needs to move so the sensors will record the new settings. So the process is:
1. Switch on the car (but do not move)
2. Perform the reset
3. Drive for at least 1'.
