I am in a place in life where it could greatly benefit me to learn Spanish, but while doing research on the different software's I've found multiple options.

Has anyone had any success with a in particular brand?

Check out an app called DuoLingo. Helped me learn basic Spanish fast. Def have it for iPhone. Not sure about android.

If you want to learn to parrot phrases and maybe understand the answer, use Rosetta stone. If you really want to learn the language, find a good Spanish instructor with a PLAN. Check out Bilingual America. Ricardo Gonzales had a good training aystem.

I am using Rosetta Stone to learn some Spanish. It's a nice additional tool, but will not replace actual classes/lessons.

Check if you have Cervantes institute in your city. They offer tons of classes - and you will learn official Spanish language. Alternatively some colleges also offer Spanish courses.

The key is to practice, practice and practice.

I really appreciate everyone's responses and SO glad I posted this as I was literally getting ready to drop some coin on Rosetta Stone. Living in the Southwest I'm hoping we have some good classes, as my two years of Freshman and Sophomore High School Spanish (I hardly passed) isn't getting me too far.

Duolingo bro and also do a language exchange website. You can find someone that wants to learn English in return they will teach you a language like Spanish . Usually via Skype. It’s been helping me learn Italian. Plus those language exchange sites are free.

Language learning pretty much only depends on effort and your willingness to use the new language. I think programs like Rosetta are a gimmick. If you want something like that but actually effective try a FSI language course which is how the US government trains people in foreign languages: https://fsi-languages.yojik.eu
