M135i Insurance [UK]

What insurance companies did people find to be the best price for the new M135i??

I pick mine up tomorrow afternoon, my insurance from my current car has been swapped over but its renewal is in mid-January, so really need to start thinking about it.

Any advice would be welcome.

I got easily the best price from Admiral/Elephant (a smidge under £500 fully comp in central London), but they've consistently offered the best quote for me for the last six years no matter what car I've had. So it's presumably as much about your personal details (age, job, record, address, mileage etc) than the actual type of car.

After looking on various comparison sites, and going through all the ones that don't appear, the best deal for me was through Swinton Insurance. I got a quote for £300.03, but with a cash back offer of £40 from them, and £40 from Quidco, thats £220.03 fully comp, protected no claims etc (I'm 31, 12 years no claims).

That beats the £1200 from my previous insurer (Zurich) who wasn't keen on me moving from the 325i to the M135. I'm right near the end of my year with them, but couldn't justify handing over £75 to see me through the last three weeks before my renewal - hence cancelling and going with Swinton.

Rather surprised at that quote to be honest!

I've found Admiral to offer the best quote for me on the M135i.

Give BMW Insurance a try, they beat Admiral by £50 for me.

Plus you have the peace of mind that if you did have an accident your car will always be taken to a BMW Approved Bodyshop

BMW Insurance, my M135i was £420 with 25k PA business miles and NCB protection. Better than my other multicar policy with Admiral - but the thing that made the difference was BMW offer a replacement car in the first year if your car is stolen, Admiral offer only trade value of your car at the time it was stolen.!
