Just picked up m6 reps (18 x8j) all around and planning to fitting them today. I am have ordered 225/40r18 all around for a square set up. Any issues with this?

It depends on the offset of the wheels. The size itself should not be a problem.

Yes, as Ovekvam says, and try to keep to the original rolling size of the wheels + tyre to keep the speedo reading correctly. Check your original tyres specifications for the diameter.
You need to look at the aspect ratios.

Thanks! Was at the tyre shop this morning and 225/40's are a lil too thin for roads in India. We tried a 235/40 profile and there was no issues at all with rubbing etc so going with 235/40's all around. Offset is 37

I do have the same rims. I use 225/35/19 front and 245/35/19 (would actually go with 30 (factory suhhests 225/35/19 front 245/30/19 rear) but could not find it). The rear is ok but the front rubs during jumps if the wheels are facing left or right. It looks great tho.

Edit: In order to further improve the feedback, it rubs due to low ET (37 to 42 or something) since an M6 uses a wider body. I guess the 18" will have the same problem. I also run on HR springs. And no matter what you do, do not allow any body to shave the ET as it may turn out to be a hazardous move.

Regars

Thanks. I got 235/40 all around but they stick out a wee bit and i hate that!! Planning on changing tires tomorrow. Any suggestions on what may help? Will 225/40 solve this issue? I dont want my tires to stick out

As i understand, by stick out you mean the ET. Unless you choose a rim with a higher ET your tires will stick out.

Is it the tire (rubber) or the rim that is sticking out? If that is the rubber you need a smaller base of the tire (225 instead of 245 i.e)

Thanks - its just the rubber that is out by a few mm. I went with 235's cuz Indian roads are terrible and wanted that extra rubber with 18 inchers. Will post a pic so you can see what i am talking about. May try 225 though.......

Okay today i took some pictures of my wheels and rims. Sorry it is a bit dark but the car was in garage and did not bother with taking it out. When i figure out if how to upload pictures i will post the images. The fronts are 225 and the rears are 245.
