Turning off Daylight running Headlights
Hi All
This is my first post, just recently picked up my 114 diesel SE 1 series. I want to turn off the daylight running headlights, I have consult the manual which say that they can be turned off via the IDrive. However this isn't the case the option isn't on the IDrive as stated in the manual?... Help would be appreciated |

Elsewhere I've read it's not possible to turn them off in the EU due to road regulations. It is possible in other markets, ie, here in Australia

It's mandatory in the EEA (Includes Eire) - hence the option to switch off is disabled.
Although you could just take out the bulbs (not sure if these have a bulb-out warning?) Or, paint the bulb with black gloss paint

that's why i chose visibility package on my 125i. Bi-xenon lights r much better looking and safer at night than traditional hologen ones. I would not turn them off. |
