Here we go, BMW M2 coupe photoshop

ok so i had abit of time and mocked a 2 series up, never heard of the car so i just based it on the 1m coupe.
things ive changed include the front lights and grille obviously, bonnet, higher shoulder line door handles, and minor changes to the front 1m bumper to give it a more meaner look very subtle you probably wont be able to tell. the headlights look so big i thought i had the proportions wrong but then i checked the orginal f20 and it clarified how big the lights actually are
but anyways here she is, i think it looks pretty good! but am no BM owner or expert, you guys are so tell me what you think!

(EDIT)
okays well

after reading some comments and did abit of research, i came up with this briefly.. i havent spent that much time on it so the quality isnt as good as the top one, after messing around on photoshop (See the photoshop at the bottom of the page) i got some ideas so i just made this before am going to bed.

hope you like!

We all know that when a new BMW arrives, in some way or another we hear that inspiration comes from the past as well as the present and future.
BMW have a rich archive of iconic vehicles and especially no such vehicle can be definitive as the classic BMW CS/CSi and CSL models.

Whether they cruised along boulevards or tore up race tracks in areodynamics that earned the term "Batmobile" as a historic nod to the iconic crime fighter.
The CS/CSi and CSL earn a rightful place as an iconic BMW.

At BMW aswell as thinking about the future , there is also a connection to the past. Especially with the "What if?" series of Hommage concepts that do their best to link today's mobility needs to the iconic appearances of the past.
Such Hommages such as the BMW M1 , BMW MM and the latest BMW 328 Hommage.

Autobild in a part of their own "What if?" series in which classics are re-invented apply this thinking to the BMW CS to debate the question "What if?"
Of course BMW will continue to ask "What if?" with both the CS/CSi/CSL and the classic 2002 earmarked for future Hommage's. The 2002 will be the lead-in car for the all new 2er Coupe. A car that inherits some of the design thinking of the original 2002 as it is no longer a 1er.

Using this image as a base (but not the final car) and working to incorporate typical BMW design cues re-interpreted with fresh ideas and a more sporty looking profile than the 1er , unique headlights and taillights that seperate the 2er from the 1er.

i didnt quite understand this, am guessing the article states that the 2er coupe will depart its styling from the 1er basically distinguishing the two as kind of not related in design terms but still recognized as part of the bmw family just not tied with the 1er, that first photoshop looks horrific! the second is quite neat but i cant see bmw doing this, the design is completely different. its sort of retro looking too,

this is basically the magazines OWN opinion of an ''what if'' question, its basically their own idea of mixing all the things together after studying the hommage's design. in my opinion i dont think the hommage will offer much significance to the future brands design, but instead the I8 concept will.

I do not care for the illustration and the c-pillar not having the Hofmeister's knick.

BMW will not make the Red car as stated by beemerboy very correctly.

well think of it this way, from a video posted with an interview with Adrian van Hooydonk. there are around 300 designers, personally i thought the hommage m1 looked hideous, look at the comparison pic with the old one!
http://www.drivearabia.com/news/2008...o-m1-supercar/
that thing looks hideous next to the original, it looks like someones stood on it

Even thought that's a quote from autobild the part that talks about the unique headlights in front and rear is supposed to be coming from Scott26 as he mentioned this several times afterwards...

Well everything started here http://f20.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=573000

when somebody posted a PS and then scott26 appeared a few posts later go clarify that it wouldn't look like a coupe version of the 1er but instead it will have unique lights and other design cues....

if i can get some detail on what kinda 'shell' the 2er is based on, say if its similar to the 1er coupe i have a rough but realistic idea with size, i like things like this, it makes my imagination go wild, seen as thought this scotty person confirms the design will be quite different.

Garage List
If you compare the present 1-series coupé and the sports hatch it is derivated from, there are quite significant changes.
The new F20 chassis has a longer wheelbase and the engine is set even further back (longer bonnet) compared to the predecessor. This hopefully gives the designers freedom to come up with a truly beautiful piece of art. Really looking forward to see the 2-series!

I feel your pain. Why are there F32 coupes testing already, and not the F22 coupes which come out almost a year before.

I have to see both before I make my choice.
