Mollycorp (MCP) is a company that mines for rare earth metals in california. They are in a situation that's somewhat analogous to U.S. oil in that mollycorp's share price is intrinsically coupled to the level of foreign export for rare earth minerals, particularly from China.

They had an IPO @ ~$10/share back in 2010 and their stock price surged to around $70/share by 2011. Since then they dropped to an all time low of $.28/share in January of 2015, and currently they're trading at $.48/share (after an intraday loss of 35%).

One of my former professors in chemical engineering is well-connected to people in this arena and he thinks it's a good time to buy, but I have to emphasize this is a highly volatile, high risk "bet," as with most penny stocks. I purchased shares today mostly on his "soft" recommendation.

I'm already getting pummeled in BXE and NG - I don't need another exploration adventure.

If a stock gets delisted, is your invested money in the wind?

Just thought I would check in...not really interested in wasting my time defending myself on here to the doubters and negative people...people who have followed me for yrs on this board and other MB's previous to this one know my record.

What I said a month or two ago is this, oil will be making new lows and just about there now...DTO in mid 70's was a good buy and have been trading it...look at DTO now.

Do not get long oil until the US dollar collapses. I don't think its about oil inventories or Saudi's trying to kill US shale co's, I think its about the US dollar...dont believe me, chart oil vs US dollar over past 6 months.

I will end with this, rather than spending time trying to tear down someone else on here, make some calls and say why and we can all see how you do...its just for sport anyway ....

Several of us were just asking you to be more specific. That's all. Ignore the people that had nothing constructive to say.

The problem is, you can't quantify "Until the callapse of the US dollar." Furthermore, without a time/date, you could eventually be right in 15-20 years.

Anyone feel free to answer this -

In your opinion, what would be the identifier that the dollar had "collapsed"?

1. Euro, Yuan, Yen prosper relative to USD.
2. Precious metal price goes off the roof.
3. QE 5+
4. When 2nd MS shock happens after USD flooding into US from foreign country.

I've been sideline on oil right now for about a month?
I am fairly certain oil will go up, but I want to time it right. Lat time I try to time the investment right, I was off by 10cents and miss the boat. lol

Egad, that pic by itself is bad enough. But a 31 second video?

I'll pass.

I'm staying far away from GoDaddy. An 18 year company without ONE SINGLE profitable year and they still raised $460 million with their IPO. Maybe if they'd stop spending hundreds of millions on crappy advertising they could post a good quarter. Sounds like a good one to short.

Don't try to focus multiple industry. Try to be expert in one and do a lot of research. Sometime you will have to short or go long. My expertise is telecommunication industry.

+18% in less than a month. Not bad, but I don't want to be too greedy with this. MCP has been on a tear lately (+50% over the last 5 days), but it's too volatile for my liking and it's technically not profitable at the moment.

I decided to gamble a small position at $.45 .... with it at $.54 I was actually considering doubling down on this 10% dip today.
