F21 125d Ordered

Hey guys!
Have ordered an F21, can't contain myself so thought I'd post and get it out of my system!
Had a beautiful 320d M-Sport E90 auto for four years. Loved it to bits but it was an early model with road tax hitting £225 and urban mpg averaging 34 I felt the need for a next gen BMW.
So, sold the E90 (with tears) and ordered as follows...

F21 N47 125d M Sport 3-door Hatch
300 - Alpine White
HAAT- Anthracite Hexagon cloth/Alcantara upholstery

Options
Z0A Driver comfort Pack
2VL - Variable sport steering
507 - PDC, rear
544 - Cruise control with brake function
Z0B Interior Comfort Pack
493 - Extended storage
563 - Extended Light pack
Z0C Visibility Pack
431 - Rear view mirror, auto dim
502 - Headlight wash
521 - Rain sensor with auto headlight activation
522 - Xenon headlights
5AC - High-beam Assist
Z0D Sun protection pack
3AP - Windscreen with grey band
420 - Sun protection glass
2TB Sport automatic transmission
2VF Adaptive M Sport suspension
674 Harman Kardon Hi-Fi
6WA Black panel display, full
4AD Brushed Aluminium Trim

I have a set of 19" AC Schnitzer Type IV alloys which I kept, going to referb them two tone, orbit grey with diamond cut face but won't be doing/fitting these till next summer.

Because I changed from the 5 door 120d Expected delivery pushed 17th December. Im going to try make them keep it until 2013 as i don't want to have it 2 weeks then suddenly its a year old!
Really cannot wait, a lot of tech I've never had before like bluetooth, idrive, ipod control which i always yearned for. it's also my first ever new car in 17 years of driving!
Enjoying all the reads from current/future owners, keep it up!

Cheers Guys

I noticed you did not have DAB radio on your list
You may also want to consider folding mirrors, as it includes the tilt function on the pasenger side when reversing. Very handy if you want to stop gutter rash

No DAB as coverage is poor in my part of the world. By the time we 'catch up' ill probably be changing the car. I did consider the folding mirrors but I really have stretched my budget as much as I can
Really thought this day and age the reversing dip mirror would have been standard!

It is a BMW thing. Everything is extra
We are lucky they have to provide some things on the car as standard.

Nice spec, I also changed from an e9x to the f20 for similar reasons.... You do miss some comfort and cabin/boot space but it a fun car to drive... Especially is you've selected some nice toys.... The HK is awesome !

I guess you've seen the posts regarding fitting e9x wheels to f20's? Looks like its do-able!

Wow what a spec Tawia makes the F20 116ed with driver comfort pack in sparkling bronze I'm waiting for look like a poor mans car!!! However my beloved E91 has to go as its a 2006 model and costs me £375 a month BIK tax (incl fuel). the F20 will be closer to £90 a month and 60 odd to the gallon. Not a difficult choice in the end!

I don't understand why you need to order the folding mirrors for this feature. I'd say the feature just tilts the glass, not the whole mirror? At least that's the way it is on VAGs and Mercs..

I couldn't justify spending money on it either.

Congrats with the car!

Next time I'm in ill get order number. Seen a white F20 today with full M Performance kit.. Not fussy on it. He also had the dark line tail lights fitted and you know what, I didn't like them! With the privacy glass and all it was just too much black against the white. Actually looked cheap.

Feck, I'm getting old!!! Lol

You are right, it moves only the glass. For whatever technical reason, in order to have the reversing dipping mirrors (thus the mirror need a memory function to ''know'' in which position it has to return), you either have to spec the electric folding mirrors or the electric seats with memory function (which includes mirror's memory as well).

Thanks guys for the good comments. Just set myself back another month tho. Changed the spec today to F21 125d M Sport. ETD 18th December will try to make them keep it till the new year so it's a proper 2013 car. If so have to wait for January but nice start to the new year
