navi map color option - no effect?

Hi,

I noticed an option to change the navi map colour between Original and..dont remember name of other option.

But no matter what you pick the colour of the map is unchanged, so why is there an option at all?

Maybe someone else got it to work?

No mention of this exists in the manual.

This is on a 2014 build with navi pro.

EDIT: I am not referring to the Day/night modes.

Mine has no change either! I thought it was a bit odd too!

Mine changes to high contract colour - looks kind of funny.

There is also an automatic night mode option which makes it dark at night.

As far as I believe, I have the same option and it alters some road types to a higher contrast/other colour.

Ok so it just changes some roads, if any for me in Sweden, and not the land colour which I wanted.

I was hoping it would change the default land colour to the previous generation navi with darker colours thus creating more contrast to the white roads and make the map much easier to read.

I remember in my 2012 118d with navi pro the colours were much distinctive, not so pale and washed out as in this 2014 build. Real stupid change...
