M135i - Adaptive M-Suspension
Howdy All,
Just picked up a brand new M135i. When I've ordered the car in June, I've selected Adaptive M-suspension option. (and paid extra for it). When I've picked up the car, my final contract didn't have the Adaptive M-suspension listed. The dealer told me that all MY2014 models come with it as standard, so it doesn't have to be on the contracthttp://f20.1addicts.com/forums/images/smilies/iono.gif So, how do I tell whether my car does have an adaptive M-suspension or the dealer has done something "fishy"? Is there a way to tell via i-drive menus? Thanks Vladt |

Yes, when you use the rocker switch (econ-comfort-sport-sport+), and especially when switching between Comfort and Sport, you should be given the option (if M-Adaptive fitted) to customize each with respect to drive (throttle response) and chassis. And, when Sport is selected, the stiffer damping is noticeable

I have a 125i but same principle. Here's my options list. Go to the VIN website and punch in your VIN. You need to have the 2VF Adaptive M Suspension option on your list, top right hand column. Snapped some pics for you as well

My M135 was a July build, September delivery and checking my VIN, I don't have 2VF - Adaptive M Suspension which means it was not standard and I don't remember the salesman ever mentioning it to me!
I don't have the customisable options come up when I switch to SPORT which is a real shame, looks like something I would have been happy to pay extra for. |

Definitely does. (from the site)
S2VFA ADAPTIVES M FAHRWERK Adaptive M suspension Another way is to turn your wheel all the way to one side and check your strut body. There is an electronic actuator visible on the side of the strut body. |

That's interesting. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive (should be mid Nov) and I also specced adaptive M, but on the contract, it was listed with a $0 amount.

thanks for the photos kook.
Mine looks identical. I think that all new July 2013 onwards build cars have adaptive M suspension included at no cost. he3at - that's why it's listed as 0$ |

Hi guys
I'm in the same boat. Am expecting delivery within the next week after a September build I opted the m adaptive in and paid for it. Would need to check invoice for price but was an option as far as I know. |

Probably became a no-cost option, like the auto trans. I imagine some people would prefer M sport static suspension for the lower (5mm?) ride height.
If you've got a nonzero dollar amount listed next to yours, and haven't taken delivery yet, I'd probably ask your dealer some hard questions. Update 18-Nov: spoke to my dealer on delivery - he's pretty sure it's still a cost option, and I've just benefited from "an error in the ordering system". Yay. I ordered mine in mid September and it was built in week 42. Currently on boat. I did not option adaptive suspension as I bought the base model M135i,
From the VIN search I do not have adaptive suspension so I believe it is not a standard but is indeed an option. |

I've also ordered and paid for it. On my original contract it was listed an $1092 option. However when I've picked up the car, the updated contract didn't list it as an option. Naturally I've questioned the dealer who told me that it is now standard and doesn't need to be listed separately!
hmm. either way, the adaptive M-suspension is installed in my new car. |
