19inch 9.5-8.5 ET-35 fender adjustments ?
Hello,
Is there anyone who fitted 19x9.5 8.5 et 35 to BMW 1 series ? I can guess there should be some fender-rolling adjustments, but is it possible to fit ? I also installed Schnitzer springs to my already m-pack shock absorbes, and m-pack 17inch wheels, and it made unbelievable difference, the way it handles is much bether than I expected. |

The front I'm not sure but you can see from my car the front 19x8.5 et43 tires 225/35, the rear 19x9.5 et 33 tyres 245/35 it is over the fender about 1"
I'm using KW set and the front wheels no problem but he rear wheels it's max high with toe in still not clear, then you will need to adjust fender wider Last edited by Ruldark; 07-21-2015 at 11:29 AM.. |

I have the 19" M6 styles on my 1er. ET 35 front 42 rear. The car is on h&r. Rear does not rub tnx to camber. But for the front you may need to roll fenders as it rubs a bit and slightly has pushed my front fenders out (not too much, this is because my fenders are not rolled and it can be repaired without need of paint).

Sorry mate - way too much poke at the rear. Looks bad.....also with your jacked up rear setup [having KW's max'd for height at the rear], probably doesnt handle too well either.....

I think if the wheels are out-away from the rest of the car, the bether car sits on the road, it can probably enter the curve faster.
So it's like making the car wider than it is. I just think it would be good for the car, and I would rather stretch the arches, or do somthing so such wheels could fit. |

Yes, in theory a wider track will allow marginally higher cornering speeds, but you will also have to drive a narrower line through the corner. The wider track will also have a different influence front and rear to the roll center of the car, which will upset the balance of the car. Of course you could be lucky and get BETTER balance, but my experience with the F20 is that it works better with a square setup. Wider rear tires makes it understeer a bit.

cyro80, so you have both 8.5 et35 rear and front wheels ? It looks pretty good. Could you feel the difference when you changed it ? I have M-pack wheels 17x7.5 et43 17x8 et53. So did you feel any difference ? Are rear wheels a bit out of arches ?

I installed Schnitzer 25mm coilovers, and I can tell you, what a difference, it rides completly different, I also added Schnitzer rear wing and font lip from Rieger. But the day I took it from tuning shop, I felt as if that's it, this is how I imagine BMW.
