I get all of that. It was still too much drama.... Period. There is a reason it's getting all of the negative flack. If DC wants to introduce everyone to Justice League, they should've started right out the gate. The problem here is too much focus on The Dark Knight and it's "dramatic pace". This was a opportunity to up the ante and not wait until the end of the movie to deliver the goods.

OK, I was able to identify WonderWoman, Flash, and Aquaman. Still in the dark on the fourth character the Bat stole from LexCorp

I think that it is Shazam. I could be wrong. As usual.

I did the distribution financial planning for this title and I hate this company so I could care less about their movies. Not gonna watch although I loved Dark Knight series and Man of Steel (watched before I started working there). I'm not giving them any of my money anymore (don't work there anymore).

I feel like the movie was too focused on trying to subtly hype JL hence all the dull filler moments in the middle of the movie.

The action scenes were on par with MoS and entertaining to watch. Batman kicks absolute ass in this movie and doesn't give a fuck about killing people.

The movie really, really went out of it's way to drive the point home that all of the areas where the big fight scenes took were abandoned, empty, deserted, etc otherwise Batman would've been very hypocritical.

Also the way in which Batman and Superman became BFF was incredibly rushed and half-assed.

If you're a hardcore fan of the comics though, lots of cool easter eggs and some of the dream sequences will make much more sense as to what's to come.
This was my biggest gripe of the movie. I wanted to post about it but didn't want to give away any spoilers. But seriously?!!! All that build up and they become BFFs over the dumbest thing.
I knew I recognized your name somewhere. It was in off topic. See you at bfest in May.

This is where MARVEL crushes DC. I grew up in comics as a 80s kid. The Acton is supposed to come fast and often! Captain America: Civil War > This by a large margin!
Marvel has the advantage of their characters essentially being new to silver screen. IIRC there was only one other IRON MAN movie (Shaq)and it was generally considered a flop. So every Marvel movie since the first Downey Jr. Iron Man has basically been the first introduction to the big screen with big money behind it.

Batman and Superman have been run many times over the last 20 yrs and every new movie will have to try to stand on its own because the basic story has been told ad nausea.

The theory is Yuga Khan, Darkseid’s father, holding what appear to be three Mother Boxes—in DC’s comics, they’re all-powerful living computers created by the New Gods, the race of powerful beings that long-running villain Darkseid is a member of—before it fades away.
