The introduction of the other Justice League members was a little rushed and the movie did not offer enough time to explore these characters. Gail Gadot is HOT AS HELL in the WW garb. Thought Ben did a very good job as the Dark Knight. |

It wasn't bad, sure as hell wouldn't pay to see it a second time though. WW is super hot and bad ass, batman has guns and kills people now, and at least the end set up for future movies. Ive watched most of the other batman movies (specifically the last two) probably 50 times and they are still entertaining due to the acting quality, story line, characters etc. This movie started off by trying to combine batman into the existing superman story line (retelling the old movies with a small twist to combine them), while along the way quickly introducing the new characters, turning Alfred from butler into engineer, and really failing to focus on any one character while instead rushing through the movie and taking the shotgun blast attempt at cramming everything inside. This worked very well for Avengers as you understood each character without knowing anything about them (im admittedly not a comic book reader, I go for the action and special effects) and even other movies like Spider Man and such where you had multiple opponents and still got to know the enemy.
Was it entertaining? Yes... More so than Batman Returns / Batman and Robin / Batman Forever, but it doesn't even slightly compare to any of the Christian Bale batman movies.

I feel as though Affleck played a really good Batman. His Bruce Wayne wasn't nearly as good as Bale. Bale has the swagger and panache that made him a really good Bruce Wayne. Gal Gadot looked amazing in all of her scenes.

Batman/Superman
Watched it today...thought it was really good. Not as good as The Dark Knight but still very good. Dont understand why some people are bashing it...better than Age of Ultron thats for sure....

I'll probably watch it a 2nd time as my wife hasn't seen it yet, though maybe through Kodi if it's a decent copy.

Entertaining. I think people can get a better appreciation for it if they knew going in that it sets the foundation for spin offs. My only gripe was having to wait so long for the release. IIRC the movie was finished 6-9 months ago.

The movie dragged on for too long and WW had really no reason or purpose being in the movie outside of teasing The Justice League. But she's hot AF so I give that a pass.
I feel like the movie was too focused on trying to subtly hype JL hence all the dull filler moments in the middle of the movie. The action scenes were on par with MoS and entertaining to watch. Batman kicks absolute ass in this movie and doesn't give a fuck about killing people. The movie really, really went out of it's way to drive the point home that all of the areas where the big fight scenes took were abandoned, empty, deserted, etc otherwise Batman would've been very hypocritical. Also the way in which Batman and Superman became BFF was incredibly rushed and half-assed. If you're a hardcore fan of the comics though, lots of cool easter eggs and some of the dream sequences will make much more sense as to what's to come. #1 Widest audience as possible because it's about making money after all. #2 Introduce your base characters which will spawn your spinoffs #3 Take a "fresh" approach to the story lines. It should generally follow the comics, but not copy what has already been done in cinema. #4 Weave all of the above into a movie that's less than 3 hours.

FAR too much "drama and frivolous banter" for a movie of this genre!
This is where MARVEL crushes DC. I grew up in comics as a 80s kid. The Acton is supposed to come fast and often! Captain America: Civil War > This by a large margin! |

Captain America Civil War also has like 4 movies (counting Avengers movies) worth of back story so there's no need to go over background and introductions. This movie is supposed to be the start of a new franchise of DC superhero movies so they did a lot of back story to try to jump start it. The story of the BvS movie was terrible and they threw in the kitchen sink to try to make it stick. I felt like everything was too rushed and way too many character introductions to make it seem cohesive. That said, it was entertaining to watch and the visual style is very good. I just really hope whomever makes the next script is way better.
