m135i vs. 335i
Anyone on here go from a 335i to the M135i? I did a cursory search but didn't find anything. I know we're not getting the new 1 here in the states, but I am very interested in the M235i when it gets to our shores. I'd be interested to know the difference in driving dynamics between the two..and overall impressions on how the two compare.
Thanks. Jeremy |

Tested but never owned
Hi Jeremy
I had a similar dilemma, between a 335i touring and a M135i. I test drove them both (335i sedan) and had a very good impression of both cars. However, I tended to spend the test drive really using the cars quite hard, and in those circumstances the M135i really had the edge. Much keener to turn in, basically more agile and chuckable. The 335i felt more mature, but still quite fast. It was quieter, and more comfortable, but certainly didn't make me feel like I wanted to thrash it in the same way I felt with the M135i. In the end I decided the M135i was big enough, just, and significantly less expensive. I do like quiet cars, so maybe in the end I made the wrong choice, but I really like the idea that the car can fulfill 2 roles, ie family car, which is relaxed and comfortable, but also real sports car suitable for tracks and hard driving. If I had bought the 335i I would have felt that I needed a 2nd car for track or hard driving. Which would have totally defeated the point, so I went M135i. Waiting for delivery and quite excited. Good luck with your choice Anthony |

Thanks for the info Anthony. I'm sure a test drive when we finally get the M235i in the states will solve my dilemma. Hope your wait goes quickly. Enjoy your new ride!
