Hello,
If you don't have enhanced bluetooth plus nav system, you won't get album artwork displayed.
You can connect your ipod via normal bluetooth or the Y BMW cable.
Welcome!

I have the basic system and can only connect my iPhone4 using the y-cable to get music. I can link with Bluetooth but only get the phone, not the music. Frustrating as hell...

And one question, can you charge the battery of the iPod/iPhone with the Y-Cable?
I'm seriously thinking about order Snap-in conector, but if I can connect bluethoot while I'm charging it with y-cable and playing songs, I think that's not necessary.

Welcome!
U can also get album artwork from an ipod, plugged into usb with apple cable in mid console, with only 6NK enhanced bluetooth (no need for navigation system!) which is awesome! And the ipod charges itself on the usb port.

Got my 116ED mineralgrau last friday, drove with it from Brussels to Paris and i must say even in eco pro the car is comftable in higher speeds (passing by slower cars). Long boring straigt ahead trips are idea for eco pro.

What i like alot is the LIM function (which is not much described on the forum). On the peripherique of Paris u dont have time to look at busy 4/5 lane traffic all over + possible hidden small speed cameras. Just set it at 80kmh and forget about speed tickets!
