I am not sure why he spent the time to disconnect the battery. I would have grabbed the jersey (4:38) and used it to smother the fire out.

A perfect example of why one should take the time to disconnect the battery before playing around in the engine compartment with something metal.
Also make sure to have some sort of protective cover over the (+) terminal. This all happened because the owner was too lazy to bother with either. Good thing he recorded it all whilst his car was on fire. Stupid is as stupid does I guess. |
