Still can't believe they bastardized valencia orange. What a horrible choice. That colour belongs on a 1M!

And it really stands out on the 1er and 3er.

But since the Sporthatch will not be sold in the US.
Valencia Orange remains exclusive to the 1er M Coupe.

The bonnet was not closed properly. This is evident in the pictures you see.

I could see that possibly happening, but I've never had the bonnet close unevenly like that on any of my BMW or Mini cars. It looks like the gap on the right side of the car is much wider than the left side. The only thing that should make that happen is either damage or the little rubber stop being way out of adjustment.

I wonder if they're carrying over the same safety concept from the F10 onto the 20 and 30. A salesperson at Pentagon in K'town was showing me how the new nosepiece was made to be more "giving" in the event an pedestrian steps in front of the car. The bonnet will also translate aft and upwards up to 7 inches to cushion their impact as well. I thought it was pretty interesting.

It's true the hood was half-closed, leading to the gap. I also saw another F20 with its hood also half-closed, as well as the Alpina D5.

Looking at the official (or any) pictures the frontend just dont look right, but in the real life it`s hard to believe its the same car.

Darker colurs look nicer in the pics where as white look horrible. But in flesh white is stunning.

Having the old model, the new one seems to be two size bigger inside and one size bigger outside.

I think the new headlights are growing on me.
Hell they've GROWN all over the front.
But, I'm starting to like them, and I'm sure they'll be better in person.

I just noticed this!
Thank you BMW, real FRAMED windows.
Ah, nice clean windows after just washing the car.
Don't do frameless every again, even on the coupe!

I think the sedans/wagons/hatchbacks have always had framed windows. Why do you hate the frameless windows so much?

Every car I've had with frame-less windows, 135i included, have had the dirtiest side windows.
It's like the windows hold more water and dirt than windows with frames.

Plus, for some reason rain and washer fluid don't fun into a proper rain gutter, but run down the window and down into the door.
Then it puts dirty streaks on the windows even when it seems the windows are dry. Too much water and dirt seems to get in there and the windows never seem to stay clean. I don't like the design.

In areas where there is little rain this may not seem to be an issue, but around here we get plenty of precep and it sucks.
The 135i has the WORST rain gutter I've ever experienced.
With the window down or partially down, you get rained on whether it's from rain or from just washer spray.
Instead of running the spray up and into a rain channel, and back away from the window, the water just rolls onto the window and if the window is open, it pours right into the car and onto your arm or right straight onto the window switches. Awful awful bad design.
It's my biggest peeve and disappointment with this car.

It seems petty, but really it just ticks me off every time it rains or if I use the washers. Dirty windows, and rain rolling into the car.
How can that be good?

If they keep the frame-less thing fine, but FIX the damn rain gutter so water doesn't run onto the window and/or me and the switches.

Long commentary about something seemingly trivial, but it's such a bad design.

The F20 has totally grow on me now, Sport 120d in Mineral Grey and xenon lights looks stunning imo. There is a big difference in how the stock photos and the ones taken by people differ in perspective, stock looks are confusing but if you look at the ones in this thread for example find the F20 a really nice car.

It still hasn't grown on me. I'm not sure if the F30 reveal makes me feel better or worse about this car.

It still looks like a minivan with a pituitary disorder to me, and the F30 looks like someone squished a 7 series, and stuck a Z4 front end on it. What is BMW doing? Some of the Bangle designs were considered "controversial" when they were new. These aren't controversial, they're hideous. When Korea is turning out more stylish and distinctive looking cars than you, you're doing it very, very, very wrong.

The E82 was a car that looked far better in person than in photographs, but there would have to be some kind of magic for this to be anything but horrific in person.
