NC is not far behind either, across all age groups you see people blocking the fast lane and doing their own thing. Flashing, coming up too close to their rear bumper doesn't do anything because they dont give a sh*t !!! and why would they because doing 65 on a 65 is perfectly legal no matter where you are on a 3-4 lane interstate !!!

I try my best not to pass from the middle lane but more times than not I need to. I always tell my wife " watch i bet you $5 that he/she is asian ? " and 9 out of 10 times it is.

By the way .................. I'm also asian however I learned all school driving where if I'm going 90 mph on the left and someone comes zooming to my rear bumper .......... well I pull to the middle and allow him/her to pass !?!?

No one understands this simple rule any longer and here in NJ the drivers are just plain ole' idiots. Asian and whatnot they're all just idiots !!!!!!

Not 100%, but damn close out this way (aside from the nose-picking). We have many,many new adult drivers and you can actually see them when they get on to the beltway or interstate 95. They make a bee-line directly to the left lane and then either match the exact speed limit, or sometimes even a few mph slower. It's really amazing to watch how traffic gets all f'd up as people slam on the brakes and then wait to pass on the right. Mind numbing.

I interpreted the thread title as "people who pass on one of the right lanes". It is a statement to the passed person. But can be expensive either for tickets or for insurance.

Even when I'm cruising along at 70+mph I move into the right lanes as long as there isn't restrictive traffic which would force me to weave back and forth too often. The left lane is for passing, NOT for cruising! people just don't get it.

I've had this conversation many times, it always comes down to 1 of 3 things.

#1. They're just oblivious to the way the road works.
#2. They're just lazy (changing lanes takes effort).
#3. They're trolls.

The real problem isn't so much that people don't know how to use the left lane so much as their supreme confidence that if they get hit from behind it's not their fault. A simple law change shifting liability to the person that is impeding the flow of traffic in this situation would do wonders, ie - If you get rear-ended while in the far left lane and traffic was not already otherwise impeded, it's YOUR fault.

Yall should come to MS when it snows the one day out of the year it does. People lose all sense of everything and just run around like the roads are go cart tracks. Half an inch of snow is enough to close MS for two days.

I am frustrated for far too long on people's unability to comprehend that if there is nothing to their right and nothing will be blocking them on the right side as they continue at the same speed, there is simply no reasons for them to block faster drivers from driving on the left lane...

They typically haven't looked in the rearview for the past 7 miles. And amazing coincidence: they probably haven't looked at their dash in the same period to notice that their hazards are still on from when they couldn't be bothered to pull completely to the side of the road and speak to their buddy while the rest of us wait to pass them on the residential street with cars coming the other direction.

I don't think most people in NYC understand the left lane as a passing lane. When I first started driving, it wasn't really taught to me. It wasn't until I started going to school in Upstate NY where I learned to not hog the left lane, lol.. I must've pissed so many people off.
