HP Increase through Software Update

Hi.

I've a 2012 model 1.16i. Currently it's horsepower is 136 hp, as you know.

Couple of friends of mine said that it's horsepower could be increased by a software upgrade that at the moment it's being limited by the system program.

How exactly is that process? Is just really just a software upgrade or do I need some additional stuff implemented as well? Also has anyone tried this before?

Cheers.

You basically plug a small box into various connectors into your engine bay, to manipulate signals between sensors and actuators. It is done by software, and will give you a significant increase in power. Several people on this forum have done it. There are expensive boxes available that will ensure warranty as well.
