I think having 50 treed acres would be nice. But if it was 50 cleared acres then I don't know - I think it would be a little boring, no?

Err...maybe a small cleared portion for the house and perhaps a dirt track for drifting or something...the rest treed.

I live on almost a half acre, but have a shared portion of our family farm/land in Oklahoma. My portion is ~125 acres out of the 1500 or so that we have. As relatives keep dying, all the land goes to the closest living which had been my grandparents. Now with them passing, it got handed down to their children and grandkids.

unfortunately its in the middle of nowhere and my portion is only good for some hunting and fishing. My dad got the land with the oil and gas

I was recently looking at 500 to 700 acre pieces of land in Montana.

Then dialed it back to 20 - 30 acres on the outskirts of Denver. Much more appealing, but about the same price. lol

None. Condo life FTW!

Well, I guess technically I own 1/42 of 3 acres in prime real estate.

Not really sure. When i say "looking" i meant on realtor.com. I put in Golden, but it was giving me results well away from Golden. But between the big hills and Denver. It was a 35min drive to the center of downtown. Most of the places that looked interesting were just south of I70.

I'd have to be really well to do in order to make the decision for Montana. But that would be an awesome summer retreat.

X2, takes me 12 minutes total to mow the front and rear yards together. No interest in a large piece of land as this would mean I would have to move out to the middle of nowhere and I enjoy being able to walk to a number of things and a quick drive to downtown.

I'm sometimes envious of this. But then the times where i'm sitting in the pool, hearing nothing but the water overflowing from the spa into the pool with Bob Marley playing in the back ground, i get over it pretty quick.

I do find the ability to walk places you want to go appealing. But living in FL it either has to be first thing in the morning or late in the evening and it has to be a place where you're allowed to wear shorts and t-shirts, and it has to be ok if those clothing items are soaked with sweat.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

Those poll options ...

Starting at 1 acre? That's like asking how much people make and start it off at <500k

My house sits on a 5,000 sq ft lot. I find it quite cozy as I have learned to become quite gregarious. There was a point when I wanted a house with a lot that had room for a basketball court. However, the areas around me with large lot sizes are either way out of my price range or in areas where my wife would not want to live.

edit: I bet the bay area people find this even more amusing.

Living in a million dollar place with no land.

That is kind of funny.

Even in places like FL where lot size is thought to be generous compared to more populous cities, the average lot size is 1/4 acre.
