These 2 cars looks the goods, Having come out of a 5 litre Lexus ISF with all the fruit on it , i can understand having withdrawals from the torque of the V8.

These little cars are amazing...Having only Drove my father inlaws 125i the other week, i found the dealership i could and drove the M135i, well the rest is history .!

Question ? where did you get the slotted rotors from .? do you have a part number.?

Hi there Richie,

I've got the M Performance Brake System......the calipers are the same (I picked red from yellow/orange/red options) but has slightly bigger rotors which are slotted and dimpled (not cross drilled).

The calipers must be pretty good on the M135i, they are also on the M3 and M4.

I'd think so, yes. Not sure of the part # for just the rotors though.

Cheers for the comments.

Just a bit of update:-
- M Performance Exhaust now installed
- Set of Eibach Springs attained and just need to be installed
- Waiting on a Gruppe M CF Intake to be made up and delivered
- Process of sourcing BMW Locking Diff from local dealer to be installed on first service
- Process of sourcing BMW M Performance CF Side Mirror Covers

Recently also used my BMW Driving Experience voucher (from purchasing the M135i) and got to pedal the new M3 on Lakeside Raceway and Skidpan, along with pedaling the M235i around Lakeside Raceway and a Motorkhana course.

Honestly, the new M3 doesn't feel too significantly quicker in comparison to the M135i (more so straight line/street than track work). However, the M3 has that awesome diff, and the difference it provides on the track in comparison to the M135i/M235i (without the new optioned diff) is insane. After the day out in the M3 and M235i, it prompted me to get off my ass and get the diff for the M135i.

However, I wouldn't mind an M3 in my garage!!

Also hoping to go out to a Test and Tune night and get some quarter mile runs in for the M135i.

TheS9,

Fit a sports cat DP to make your m-lite's MPE sound even better. Car will be more responsive too....

Nice ride.

I would love to do that, just have no idea what ones are readily available etc. Have any suggestions/recommendations for a DP with sports cat (I don't want catless)?

Indeed definitely a keeper! I usually cycle out the cars every 2 to 3 years, but I am honestly so impressed with the M135i I would most likely keep it for a good 5 + years.

Got it from Southern BM (http://southernbm.com.au/)

I think it was around $2.2k? From memory.

I would love to get my hands on the Powervalve Exhaust System eventually down the track - once they are more readily available etc.

Yikes, see if I can arrangement to have my 7 month old and 20 month old kiddies babysitted in such short notice! Dunno if I can have someone take care of my kiddies in such short notice, but see what I can do.

If not, I will definitely go out for some runs in the near future. I live near Lakeside Raceway, so more easier for me to go out and do sprint/track days.

Either way please let us all know how you go with your times. Any mods?

Won't me able to make it tonight, however I shall work out a night which I will attend and let you know.

Nice list of mods! Any reason why you replaced the standard seat for a Velo seat? I assume it is a fixed bucket too?

Anyways let us all know how you go and maybe get some footage?

The MP rotor brakes are the same size as stock M135 (blue) caliper rotor.. only that its dimple/slotted. In fact you could just change the rotor but coding is need. A few guys have done it.
Cheers
I disagree, BMW MP BBK rotors are larger and std blue M135i calipers will not fit as-is because they are set for stock 340mm dia rotor.

MP rotors are 370mm dia ie 15mm larger radius. At the rear dia is same stock v MP BBK at 345mm

You can however upgrade rotors to dimple and slotted, similar to MP but keeping same size as std:-

Front rotor: 340mm = Part Number 34 10 6 797 602

Rear rotor: 345mm = Part Number 34 20 6 797 598

If someone has fitted 370mm rotor to std blue m135i caliper, then I'd be interested to know more details and be glad to be proven wrong.....

That is seriously a bloody good time! I assume the JB4 and LSD did make a bit of a difference?

In terms of stock M135i's I see consistent 13 flats. 12.6 is not far off those A45 AMG with the Wilall Racing Phase 1 tunes (they get around 12.3 consistently, and stock A45's get around 12.8s)!!! Very impressed.

What was your terminal speed(s) with your run(s) - if you don't mind me asking?
