Also, apologies - didn't mean to generalize all of Europe. But Amsterdam and Brussels are beautiful! Highly recommended for anyone in the States to visit. Just don't fly American Airlines direct to Amsterdam - that 757 sucks hard. I'm a "normal" sized guy...I guess? But those goddamn seats are awful. 8hrs of numb ass syndrome.
As American living in Brussels for four years can you tell me where you visited??? I wanna see the beautiful parts too!! Jk...kinda

As far as the badges..no reason to advertise you drive a 318d or 320d..the 2.0 liter diesel is king in Europe
Ha - did a few tours and saw some beautiful architecture and city sights. Also, a beer tasting tour...damn, Belgium does beer right - and waffles. You are lucky!!

I actually did the delete the day it arrived back home - had it that way for 19K miles and just looked very clean (my license plate made up for the missing badge!) - but just recently put it back in Mineral Grey Metallic and actually looks sharp - almost embossed looking.

I ordered my 135i de-badged from the factory, and I've just ticked the de-badge option again on the X5 40d I've just ordered.

And how do you know this ?

We make jokes of each other , but for the moment the situation goes better with MAX (Max-Verstappen) in F1 .
Because Max is 1/2 Belgian and 1/2 Dutch ..
But that's what the Dutch think , fact is that Max is actually Belgian ...

Brake calipers are the best way to spot the fake M cars. Some of the M5 look alikes are soo good even I have to do double takes. But then the small calipers give it all away..

That's the nice thing about the f8x generation, them wide ass hips can't usually be faked no matter how many bumpers or badges..

I am somewhat of an expert. I worked in Amsterdam for a few years and had both Dutch and Belgian colleagues. They took pride in telling me jokes about the other. All in fun of course, but it was pretty clear that there was a friendly rivalry between the folks from these two fine nations.

I hear that Verstappen is causing some controversy in F1. Maybe his move to block will become the Verstoppe[n. I don't know enough about open wheel racing. Is he right to do what he is doing with his defensive moves?

Really ? That's awesome !
In the past I've worked as well with some Dutch guys , they call it work but actually it's more drinking tea and smoke than working...

Verstappen Verstoppe ? I got it my friend !
About Max on a serious note..
We/I never saw a better driver in the F1 history , remember he's a first year rookie , he took the win in Spain and several podiums !

Defensive moves ? Ohhhhh....C'mon man , we are talking about a car race , and that's actually racing ..
Move aside , and let pass your competitors ...Is this still a race ?
Think the FIA screwed up with rediculous new regulations ...

In past we saw 1,000 times worse from Schumacher , Villeneuve , Hill , Mansel ,or the battlefield between Lauda and Hunt ...
While they drove back in time in machines of death...

"MAX"

Cheers! Too much of the stuff though and you'll end up like the average Belgian road xD

By the way, that's the best Juplier glass (yellow logo). Not overly fond of the modern ones :P

I'm studying in UK for the semester and few are debadged here but they're mostly 116i's, 318d's, etc. Nothing to brag about I guess, so maybe that's why they debadge?

A shame, you guys have some really good beer over there! Kwak, Westvleteren and so, so many more

Not a huge fan of Heiniken, it's by no means a bad beer and it has one major, major advantage: It's very consistent in its taste (Unlike Jupiler for example). But when you taste a good Belgian speciality beer, you'll throw both Heiniken and Jupiler out the window xD

Grolsch is so much better than those imho... Heineken is not bad but not great either. Jupiler simply sucks :P
