I wish BMW would sell 5 (or 3 door) hatchbacks in the USA. I love the look and they are very practical when it comes to hauling stuff around.

New 1 series is nice in terms of all the other models, a bit more of a 'trendy' design. But comparing the M135i, i prefer the current model. Just has a more 'brute' like appearance, and character... which the new one looks to have lost that feel.
But all tastes are different. Not sure why they persist with the grey accents though... just so everyone can change them to black. |

Rear looks like a Seat. I also don't like the pattern of the plastic mesh on the front. But his LCI does make me love my old model even more

They should have just used the m235i front end. Looks tons better and more aggressive. The LCI headlight and taillight design is the BMW's usual Parkinson's disease hand trembling that I noticed from BMW lately. They really ran out of ideas on headlight design, just like Mercedes did.

Not sure there will be a 2 series hatch, but soon enough the 1er H/B will be sadly FWD/xDrive. |

I don't think it is decided yet if the 2 series will remain RWD either. And the 2 series is not a replacement for the 1 series. They will both exist alongside each other, like the 3/4 series.

What I've been told is rear wheel drive will be on the 3 series and above every BMW below the 3 series will be front wheel drive. The 2 series is only sold in small numbers so I cannot see BMW keeping RWD
