[F20] Aftermarket amps

Morning all !

Ok, hopefully this should be straight forward.

Currently in my f20, i had the base sound system, and business nav (option 606, HU_CHAMP2) ( so 6" subs under the seats, and then 4 mid range, 2 in the doors, 2 in the parcel shelf).

I've upgraded most of these so now I have:
2 HK mid range in the back
2 HK mid range in the doors
2 HK Tweeters in the front door triangle.

Now i'm looking to upgrade the amp with something aftermarket, but confused as to how many channels to have.
As i have an M135i, the BMW alpine kit is not compatible, so that's a no go.

Do i need a 4 or 6 channel amp ? Ie, the extra two channels to power the subs directly, with the other 4 dealing with each of the mid range speakers ( the tweeters plug directly into the mid range in the door, and have built in high pass filters ).

I was looking at something like this:

I Dave,
I don't know very well the F20 Audio system, but I think that the sub, if it's an original one it's already amplified so it doesn't need an extra amp. For mid and tweeters you can also choose to put an after market ampli only for front channels. So you can buy a better one for the money (so only two channel).
Regards,
Andrea.

I run a 4 channel for the fronts +sub so if you want to power the rears as well you prob need a 6.

Hey Dave, how did you upgrade your basic sound system to HK? Did BMW do this for you after you had already received your car? I'm thinking of upgrading my system also, didn't know they do this after you already received your car?
