Sensors or not?

Quick Q: does the M135i has standard 'sensors' it its tyres? I'm asking as I'm changing to winter set-up and will buy both new wheels and tires. If sensors are needed, I will need to buy 4 new sensors as well for the winter wheels.

Yes, and no. It has sensors, but not in the wheels/tyres. It uses the ABS sensors to compare the rolling speed of each wheel to see if the diameter is deviating from the others.

Garage List
This system has been used on bmw for quite some years now. Even my 2005 e87 had it.
But arent there new regulations coming as of 2015 that all new cars need individual tyre press monitoring? I also think o read somewhere that bmw uses this system as of beginning of 2014?
So I think Superduke needs to check if he can get the individual tyre pressures for each wheel up on the iDrive screen or not..

thats not correct.. there is an eu law.. that says that every car built after 1.Sep.14 ( I think that was the date) needs to have Sensors in the tyres that can measure the pressure even when the car is standing .. this ist with the wheelspeed sensors not possible...

That is sad news. But Superdukes car probably does not have pressure sensors.
