Not going to get specific with the series BMW but just overall percption.

BMW Drivers Breakdown by age and gender:

Males under 21 - Most likely have rich parents

Females under 21 - Most likely have rich parents or a sugardaddy

Males 22-30 - Don't know how to invest money elsewhere.

Females 22-30 - Don't know how to invest or have a sugardaddy.

Males 31-55 - Have or should have established themselves by now.

Females 31-40 - Well off husband or sugardaddy.

Males 56+ - You should have no excuse and should be driving something "decent" by now in the luxury class.

Females 40+ - maybe you worked for it or maybe you just have a sugardaddy.

Lol, me too... drove off the lot with a brand new, personal build X6 at the age of 29.

Now I'm an old man, so I'm starting to plan out my finances differently now.

Who am I kidding... I have been on the website countless times building a 2015/2016 X6....

Looks like I will NEVER learn, lol.

My wife tells people I like driving small cars because I am undercompensating.

Bless that woman.

This thread is good, keep it going!

3 series: I know nothing about cars, I just want the BMW badge.

Valencia Orange, 35i, CPO car. Affordable and very fun to drive.
Win Win!

It nailed me perfectly. First BMW, and wasn't even considering trading my GTI, until I saw the price, and experienced the performance.

OK, I'm curious. No sugardaddy unless you're talking candy and lollipops. Recently purchased my first BMW. I'm 4 months from turning the big 60, and I'm a retired gov't employee. So what should I be driving?

To answer your question, I feel like one should drive a car that suits their personality and taste, as long as they don't over extend themselves financially.

One can find a car from multiple manufacturers within their price range that will suit their personality.

If you are getting ready to hit 60, then you sir have earned the right to drive whatever you want as long as you can afford it! Enjoy life whether you are walking or driving.

Sadly the i8 is not eligible for the HOV lane in California. So I guess my car ownership just makes me an old, rich bastard.

What about CPO drivers?
In my case "wanted a large SAV but too scared to buy/ couldn't figure out how to lease without losing my shirt"
