Just send me a PM around April or so. Or subscribe to the Sella 2.0 and 1.0 threads... incase I post an update there. But I normally just make a new planning thread in the European sections of 1Addicts a few months before we hold one of our driving tours.

Most of our "core" group is located in Southern Germany. But we have a few guys in Brussels, Belgium and a few in Czech, one in Norway and Sweeden, so we are truly - European group of 1Addicts. Plus our Russian friends have also expressed interest in joining us.

That's why I think holding our events in Italy(each year, although there is some talk about exploring France this year!) is best for all of us... its kind of like meeting in the middle.

This looks amazing. I'm hoping I'm still in Germany this summer so I can take my new m235i on a proper road trip.

I know he will be back for this year's tour! We really had such a blast, driving as a "group", once you experience it your hooked for Life. It's so much fun!! And the roads and scenic panoramas are so awe inspiring.

I appreciate that you all took the time to document the route so others can replicate the route.

Nothing beats group driving for sure, when I lived in San Diego, I used go on quite a few group drives. Nothing beat the cruise up the coast to BimmerFest when it was still in Santa Barbara!

Randomly came across some old cruise pictures over the weekend, this one was from 2006:

Alps driving tour is definitely on my bucket list.
Not sure if I can pull it off this year, but definitely by next year.
Will be travelling from Canada, it would be great to hook up with you guys.
....already have a line on 235i that I can "borrow"

Cool! We look forward to seeing more new faces. And the same old friends from our past tours.

Wow.... I'm genuinely jealous of the trip you took. Beautiful pictures, beautiful cars, beautiful environments. Just wow.

I would love to experience this some day, but I have no experience driving in the mountains (I live in flatland) and getting time off from work might be a problem.

EDIT: Could you send me some details via PM, please? I am interested.

Its funny... I was just looking at my Alpine driving book: DRIVE, today. For some reason, Passo di Falzarego & Passo di Giau - in the Sella region caught my eye. I don't believe we had driven there in past years. Maybe Artemis wiki skills can chime in.

I still am torn between Italy and France for this summers tour. Any thoughts on where to go ?

Dackel

PS: I saw the Bella Vista Hotel(our hotel last year) posted this picture today on their FB page...

I guided the group towards both those passes during Sella 1.0 (Summer 2014), Dackelone. A great pass (among the steepest).

Here you are filming the drive downhill from Passo di Giau after a stop at the summit. As you remember, some of us even managed to get a - cough - "selfie" over there.

Dad told me he could provide some tips on French Alps as he's been there before.

It's a long drive to France, though, for us from East.

Yeah... the long drive worries me too. Also... I don't know how "strict" the Gendarme(police) enforce their speeding laws.

The thing I like about Italy is its in the middle for most of us to get too. And we pretty much only need to worry about those camera "boxes".

Can you remember: https://markymark666full.wordpress.c...than-5000-bhp/

Next week I'll put my summer tires on and it's already starting to tickle.

As discussed in the facebook group I did some nice runs in the Lake Garda-area:

Perhaps we could check out some routes a bit more southern.
