It is perhaps the most dramatic facelift in BMW history. I am generally pleased with how it looks. I am however rather disappointed with the petrol engines. Both the 116i and 118i have a lot less power than before, and we don't get the new 3-cylinder 136 hp engine I wanted. It sounds better than the four, and it is less thirsty. Maybe I should buy a Mini Cooper instead. It is lighter, cheaper and more sporty, but I don't really like FWD.

The video says it answers all I want to know about the LCI. Actually it does not really answer any of my questions. Do the engines rev match automatically if you order it with manual gearbox? Is there a headup display available? Can I get it without runflats? Is DAB radio standard equipment? Is it possible to see the engine temperature somewhere?

I like the tweaks to the new front-end but it's a bit unfair comparing the base standard old halogen headlamps against the new optional LED headlamps. At least compare against the old car with Xenons fitted.
Not sure what to make about the rear. Kinda like it... Couldn't notice anything different about the interior Currently in the UK you can opt in for runflats (which used to be an opt out). Also DAB is standard on the current 1-series in the UK.
