Yeah - 98 to 2000

Loved the toreador red with the tan interior combo...couldn't find one when I got mine (had a green and silver with my black and tan at the stealership).

Call it what you want, but that cute girl's car was faster than the grandma SHO in ever single aspect.

(NOTE - actually liked the Gen1 and Gen2 SHO's...you started it).

I think I remember seeing someone putting the SHO engine in an SVT Contour. I remember Jay Leno put the engine in a festive and added nitrous, haha.

Grandma car? Exactly... I wonder if Ford found out about a Yamaha engine for sale and said, hey - let's throw it in the Taurus! haha

Those were faster than the GTs due to weight, if I recall? The smart folks got the LXs.

Toss up between 69 marcos 3.5 litre rover 4 dual downdraft webers 4speed and 58 MGA coupe 302 ford 5 speed

Both were loads of fun
MGA went like stink in a straight line
Marcos very nimble and quick on a road course

Hmmm thats a hard one.

My BMW is definitely the fastest, and probably the nicest car I have ever owned. My Chevelle has the cool factor, but it handles like the suspension is made out of 2x4's and I feel I need to Flintstone it when I go to brake, so its not the funnest car to drive.

I would have to say the my Silverado SS was the funnest car I have ever owned. It was decently fast for a 6,000 lb truck, it handled more like a car than a truck. Because of the decent torque and the low gears, it would throw you in the back seat when you would floor it ( I feeling I quite like). It was AWD so it felt great on both wet and dry surfaces, and it did amazing in the snow.

It was a lot of fun to run 14.05 at 1/4 mile ( I know it does not seem that fast, but its a second slower than stock), then be able to tow the quads to the dunes the next day (see picture below), something my BMW or Chevelle cant do.

I was thinking...I've seen C-SVT guys do the 3.0 duratec swaps...and even one that did a 3.5 duratec. But haven't seen a Yamaha-SHO swap. Not to state that wouldn't be bad ass though...just don't think it's an easy one to do.

I had a 87 GT vert - was nowhere near as good as the 90 LX vert with the 4.10s. I was working for a ford dealership at the time...and I got this LX for Saturdays. Definitely a bad ass ride. (well, until our sales manager totaled it)

I had #73, purchased new in Orlando. Best fwd by far back then.

Tough to pick the most fun car I've owned. I've owned many and I tend to buy or build fun cars. A few stand outs...

95 supra 6spd when it was at the mid to high 600's to the wheels
93 rx7 r1 (yellow mica) with tune, bolt ons and suspension
90 240 coupe (silvia front) with redtop, 2871r, cams and suspension.... over a g and would run 11.5 on 225 radials
91 rx7 turbo 2 wide body with ls6, big cam, long tubes,4.11 gear, coilovers cage and sticky tires.....loud and fun
90 sentra se-r turbo with 20g, cams suspension....big time sleeper as it put down over 330 whp on low boost
94 civic hatch with turbo gsr swap, close ratio lsd gearbox, just two seats, suspension, ssr type x wheels, sticky tires and relatively quick spooling turbo....a fwd tarmac rally car, another sleeper at least in the mid 90's
current 07 z4mc with headers, tune, bushings, square wheel setup and alignment....my daily and an absolute blast to drive, could use a bit more power though
