More lock without having to take your hands off the wheel... either that or he's been watching too much NASCAR

Watch pretty much any form of motorsport and you'll see that they drive with the wheel very close, because that gives you the best range of motion. It's also very helpful when driving cars where the paddles rotate with the steering wheel. You really need to keep your hands at 9 & 3 to actuate the paddles.

Based on the steering input, I’d say he ran wide and hit a curb or possibly a pot hole formed at the edge of the track, which will happen sometimes in areas where it’s common to run out. Usually the track owner will install some sort of artificial surface material to prevent that sort of thing, but we don't really know what track he was at. It might be a club circuit or something.

Merc looks better, but Id still choose the 135i. Just me. But the AMG is tempting.

Lmao. That's what I thought when he hit something. Merc 4 wheel drive not so great as his car slide out. But I do like the merc interior seats and seat belt. But the BMW sounds way better and does seem funner.

I don't understand the comparison, isn't this like comparing an "S-Line" Audi to an M3? Or and "S-Line" Audi to a sport 335i? MXXXi's are not quite XXXi's and not quite MX's, they are in-between.

And again, I HATE the navi on the Merc. It looks like a complete afterthought, like someone put a Tom Tom on the dash at the last minute. Compare this to BMW's available iDrive which is possibly the best at market right now.

I would like to think either would do well here in the States.

Yes but the BMW hatch is not coming but there is still a chance the A45 might be sold here.

The auto mags do this all the time. I think it's their way of goading manufacturers in to bringing more performance models to market. They're comparing the A45 AMG to the M135i because the M135i is the most performance oriented car currently available in the BMW compact car segment. Their reasoning could be that making these comparisons creates an incentive for BMW to bring an M2 to market.

S-line, as in the sport packages you can get on 1.2 A3s or the S cars?
