BMW's never been afraid to throw away their heritage before, though, so this shouldn't be surprising. Also, I'm disappointed that they refuse to bring the hatch to the US. I know the 318ti didn't sell well but that car was ugly and was only available with the 4 cylinder engine. I had a 318is, that engine was seriously underpowered for the E36's weight. A 320 horsepower rear or all wheel drive hatch will sell like crazy in the US, I don't understand how they don't see that. |

So this is a 135i with an m sport package + 20 hp? Is the suspension unique to this car? LSD?

The cool thing about this is all high performance hatches are fwd or awd, so it seems so unique. I would love to see this go head to head with an STi.

I don't know what people in Europe like for styling but this car is simply hideous. It's the same N55 power plant with performance software that's been around for years. They just throw a body kit on and slap an //M badge on it? Talk about watering down a legendary moniker.

I guess it's just as well that it won't come to the US; folks here have a unique and profound disdain for station wagons. God only knows why.

Why would BMW paint the mirrors silver/gray? Hasn't Audi already played that out with their S cars??
