Cannot wait for it to arrive- from peoples experience, does anyone have any idea how long i can be looking at waiting? The dealer reckons 6 weeks.

Cheers guys / gals!
I ordered my 118i M Sport on 19 January and took delivery on 28 March, the car having arrived at the dealer on the 26th. I was also tempted to order the car in Estoril Blue but as my previous 3 door 120i M Sport was in Le Mans blue I stuck with my original choice of Alpine White, and stunning it looks too - photos on my profile page.

Hmmm

This makes me wonder if I will get mine earlier. I was back in at the dealer today with my sisters car and bumped into the sales guy, he says the build date has been confirmed, but he said June for mine... Ohh well as the say best things come to those who wait... :-)

Car has been in production since Monday, it's currently at 5200: Paintshop start.

I expect it to be at 5300 (pre assembly complete) by the end of the day, ready for assembly tomorrow (5500) and shipment (8200) on Friday.

Will keep posted

Exciting times.

Can I ask how many miles per year you will be doing?

I can't decide whether to go for the 116i or 118d. I do 12,000 pa.

Cheers

I do 12,500 commute miles per year- plus personal miles. Petrol will work out better for me i'd suggest the same for you.

I was originally looking at getting a 118d M Sport to replace my 2007/57 118d SE which was stolen just before Christmas.

I achieved 53mpg in that therefore would expect the same in another 118d.

However, as I am only covering approx 12k per year (just shy of 10,000 miles communte) I have been contemplating opting for the 116i.

The 116i M Sport is £1960 cheaper than the 118d M Sport and I would be looking at getting it on the 4 year, 4.9% PCP deal. Is this what you have opted for?

I have done some quick maths on the mpg's and basically if the 116i can achieve 42mpg as opposed to 53mpg in the 118d, it will cost me £1288 more in fuel over 4 years (48k) but I would still be £672 up. Obviously the 116i is more to tax also but still not going to be down on the 118d.

My only concern is the resale value of the 116i due to it being the cheapest engine. I am also slightly concerned about the mid-range pull of the 116i knowing that the 118d pulled like a train.

How did it feel to you?

Cheers

The 4.9 deal is what i also went for- although i'll likley be trading in at the 3 year mark- BMW gave me a guaranteed end value price of £9,600 after 4 years.

I'm also in the market for an ECU remap which will take the 135bhp to 170bhp

Car is now production #9630 (in transit)- so it is now completed (woohoo!!), and waiting for delivery to dealer

As soon as the car is consigned (arrived in the UK) my dealer is starting the swap of my personal plate from my current car to the new car.

i get the impression from my salesrep that he doesn't want to be helpful- but i keep emailing him anyway, and eventually i get some answers. apparently it went from paintshop complete for the whole of last week- i think what actually happened is he didnt bother looking and just told me he'd check for updates next week.

The important thing is I get my car before the end of may as promised

When i got my previous Audi, the dealer would email me the screen dump which showed the exact position of car in production,it only takes a second but keeps you in the loop.
We only want accurate info and not bulls*it.
