USB issues

Hello,

I use my 16GB USB stick to play my music.
The stick is half full and remains in the car.
However, when I lock the car, and come back, I need to pull the stick out and then in again, for the songs to get recognised.

Anyone had this issue ?

I leave my USB sticks in the car most of the time and it starts to play at once when I turn on the stereo.

I have my music on two full sticks and I sometimes switch between them (16 and 32 gb) and it seems to remember them both.

No problems at all playing USB-music - the radio reception stinks, though!

Does it display music on file / folder format, or album / artist? Sorry for the hijack

I have loaded my music from the usb stick onto the hard drive, no problems here....I don't get the cover art from the stored music, I get the cover art when using the y-lead and my iPod though.

I did notice the same symptoms as above that you need to unplug and re plug the usb stick if leaving it in the vehicle which sort of makes sense to me.

I donīt have navigation, just iDrive, Professional Radio (663) and USB (6NH) and I can search by Genre, Artist, Album, Song.......

If I understand it right, there is a built-in-memory in the car that can handle beetween 16000 to 32000 songs (probably depending on the size of the songs). If there wasnīt a memory there, it would probably take the same time to activate when you change the stick as it did the first time you used it.

I have Prof Nav on my F20, I thought you only got the Hard drive with prof nav?

I was at a BMW corporate event today and viewed the new F21 today M Performance edition....very nice wheels/brakes and pillar less doors. Also the new nav looks very good 3d is amazing on this version.
