You need professional navigation for this function, but I think some guys in Singapore may have programmed it to work on all cars with a screen? Check bmw-sg.com/forums to read more...

If you find anything please post back here, I'm sure there are a few tech heads here who would appreciate a mod like that

I did a search in that forum and there is nothing like that in "mod" section :S
I'd love to have that feature also! I don't think it's navigation related, only software related ...

But I guess they need the bigger navi screen and more graphical processing power to provide such features.

I have seen the power/torque instruments in other cars, but I don't miss them at all. If I had it, I would never use it. An instrument showing me the oil temperature would be a lot more interesting.

It's funny... I use the "efficient dynamics" screen sometimes to see some graphics instead my playlist

haha, same here. Does anyone know of a resource that details what all the symbols are supposed to mean on the car picture? I can work most of them out, but these puzzle me:

Icicle symbol - it always seems to be there: i understand that when the A/C unit goes blue that the ecodynamics is reducing its efficiency but the symbol seems abit unnecessary

Car Headlights - This is quite hard to see, but if you look closely you can see a slight glow on the cars front, sometimes this goes blue - anyone know what it signifies? The headlights themselves dont seem to be any duller (duller than normal that is )

Cant think of any other symbols that are abit confusing off the top of my head, can anyone shed any information on these?

Thanks

It is not the headlights, it is the engine bay that turns blue or grey, denoting if the Auto Start/Stop is active and if the engine is running or not.

There are 3 symbols in the ED screen denoting if the A/C is running, if the engine is running or not (when stationary) and if the battery is charged (when not pressing the gas pedal).
